Defying Doom and Gloom and Creating New Sales

 I'm just about to take off to London from Sydney for a couple of seminars I'll be teaching at.

  Before I'm airborne, I wanted to pass along a message I just received from one of our new Inner Circle members.

  "Ari, I joined your Inner Circle membership less than 30 days ago and I started using your 'mindset' at an open house last weekend in face-to-face meetings with visitors. On Saturday I talked to one couple and sold one house! On Sunday I talked to two couples and sold another house! Needless to say it was really something in this "down" real estate market. Maybe it was just luck I thought.

  Then on Monday, I called back one internet lead and ended up talking for about 30 minutes with a very nice gentleman and the result of that dialogue he is coming to town in two weeks to see some houses to buy from me!! By now, I'm getting pretty worried as we all know about the law of averages and it's getting pretty far out of whack so far. So on Wednesday I talked to Luz (my Unlock The Game coach) and we again worked on refining my problem-statement.

  So, today I talked to another internet lead and again had a wonderful dialogue for about 30 minutes with a potential client from California!

  Now, I am really getting worried and afraid to pick up the phone (just kidding) because in the past I would need to talk to about 10 leads to get one good conversation. Ari your program really does work as you've been saying for the last couple of years (I've been lurking on your list for quite some time). If this keeps up, I'll need to cut back on my internet advertising because I'll have too many leads to follow-up with! Warmest regards, Elwood Smith".

  Not surprisingly (for me), I get success stories like this every week (from members in all different industries) -- yes, even as doom and gloom reporters continue to take pleasure in trying to make us feel everything is caving in around us.

  It's absolutely true our economy is constricting (but expanding in certain areas) and going through major shifts.

  But don't think for a minute that sales aren't happening even in the industries that appear to be shrinking.

  There are sales to be made around you, but they aren't going to be possible to make if you've only been exposed to traditional methods of selling.

  For the people who are spending money, buying products and services, do you think they would rather buy from someone who is trying to "close" them, or someone creating trust with them?

  The latter of course, just like Elwood and many of my Unlock The Game clients are experiencing.

  It astounds me that sales people are still wedded to using sales techniques that are unnatural and clearly self-serving.

  It's so interesting to watch our members who immerse themselves in all the resources we provide them make more money while simultaneously creating long lasting relationships with their new clients.

  There are lots of sales to be made, yes even in this economy, but not for those who insist they know "how to sell", never having access to the Unlock The Game trust-building sales system.
